总胆红素（TBIL或STB）是直接胆红素和间接胆红素二者的总和，在人体中的正常值是3.4～17.1μmol/L，超出这个正常值一般表示*或胆道出现了问题，需尽快调理治疗，还自身一个健康。

总胆红素在人体的含量体现了黄疸的轻重程度以及黄疸的类型，人体中的黄疸含量出现升高时有可能是因为遗传性胆红素代谢异常、胆道梗阻、甲型病毒性*炎症、胆汁郁积性*炎症和其他类型的病毒性*炎症等。在医院或者体检中心一般都会通过检测总胆红素来诊断*和胆道是否出现了疾病和异常。
